my attemptWe make cyanotypes, photograms or any type of photographic style and do it our way without following the rules, we got photographic paper and exposed them to the light disrespecting the rules, we painted a circle leaving some of the side thick and some very light paint, then we put it in the developer then the finisher and it came out with a pink/white circle with a black outside because we put something around it to make sure the developer wouldn't make the thin paint go black. Here is the image;
what it is?It is water colour image, it was invented by Pierre Cordier, which was in 1950's.
Pierre CordierBorn January 28, 1933 in Brussels, also known as the father of the chemigram, is a Belgian artist. He is considered the pioneer of the chemigram and of its development as a means of artistic expression. When he was young he became interested in jazz. The improvisational freedom of this music is reflected in his works. As an example in the first image it gives me personally the same feeling as how jazz music would make you feel, it is like he made the paintings to his feelings.
Here are some of his artwork: |
