Randy Grskovic is an Artist and Curator living in Toronto, Ontario. This photo was taken by someone else but cut up and changed by Randy, he changed the image so much that you couldn't have a full idea of what the image was made of at the beginning. He also changed the square and turned it into a weird shape with included even more edges, it makes the photo look very interesting and imaginative. I like how he kept the white borders of the image and he styled the cut up pieces into a pattern.

This is a window, it is wet and foggy, it was my intention to make it unclear of what's outside, so the viewer can pay more attention to the actual edge, the design on the window has multiple edges.
|
This has an edge because of the shape the trees are kind of forming, and also on the top of the image there is a roof popping over the window, which is how I took the image, there are two edges.

This is my dog, Heidi, I think of her as a edge in someway I cannot explain, but, there are also some edges in the background.

In our personal assessment we had to create a picture or thing that represents 'edges'. I decided to make a photogram and put circles around the edges and I put broken glass in the middle, it didn't look clear but you could faintly see the outline. I used a small sized photographic paper and used 10 seconds with the light so it could reflect with the objects on the paper. The photogram was very simple and shady. This is the photogram:

After I created the photogram I scanned it and used photoshop to edit circles onto the photogram image and put the circle layers on top, afterwards it looked more improved and it changed the simplicity of the image. I used inspiration from the images of Jhon Baldessari. There are edges between the circles. |
This was my second outcome, in this work I made cyanotypes in the dark room and tried to make as many edges as possible, then I cut them out and mixed them up. This final piece was definitely related to 'edges' because there were many edges placed around. To improve I would've made the lines straight and not rushed so much and also neater. Next time I will take more time on it and use the time I got more carefully.
